Why monitor canceled receipts?
When receiving your stores’ daily reports, it’s common to wonder: why are there canceled receipts?
Cancellations can have different causes — from last-minute changes made by the customer to operational issues during the sales process.
With the Visio platform, you can view recordings of the exact moment the cancellation happened and gather enough context to act quickly and accurately.
This guide shows how to use Visio Player to investigate these events.
Step 1 — Access the platform
By clicking the link in the daily indicators notification, you will be directed to the platform’s main page.
Step 2 — Access Visio Player
On the home page, locate the left-side menu and click on Visio Player.
Step 3 — Select store, date, and camera
At the top of the screen, select:
- The store you want to analyze;
- Under Camera, choose Checkout;
The date corresponding to the event.
Then click Search to load the data.
Step 4 — Filter by “Canceled receipt”
After loading, use the Receipt type field above the cards and select Canceled receipt.
This will display only events related to cancellations.
Step 5 — Review the details in the Player
Click on the card of the receipt you want to investigate.
The Player will display the video of the exact moment when the employee performed the cancellation, allowing you to see exactly what happened at the checkout.
Step 6 — Analyze the situation and take action
In most cases, cancellations happen for common operational reasons, such as:
- The customer decides to change the order at the last minute;
- The employee checks prices and cancels the receipt;
- The sale is reopened with adjusted items.
To verify whether there was simply a replacement of the receipt:
- Check the time of the cancellation;
- Remove the applied filter;
- Look for receipts issued shortly after that time.
If a similar new receipt appears right after, it was likely just an order correction.
Otherwise, continue watching the video to understand the context and discuss the situation with the team.
How this monitoring helps the operation
Monitoring canceled receipts allows you to:
- Identify service process issues;
- Detect possible operational inconsistencies;
- Improve team training;
- Increase the reliability of recorded sales.
This ongoing monitoring contributes to a more transparent and efficient operation.
🎯 Done!
By following these steps, you will have full visibility into canceled receipts and be able to act quickly whenever necessary.
