What are checkout review tasks?
Checkout review tasks in Visio gather events identified by Visio as potentially atypical and requiring human validation.
The operator’s responsibility is to review what happened at the register using video and transaction data, and properly complete the review flow.
Tasks statuses
- Pending — awaiting review
- Reviewed — all events analyzed
- Archived — tasks that were not reviewed within two months after their release date
Only Pending tasks require action.
How to review a task (overview)
- Open a review task.
- Select a day available for review (days highlighted in purple indicate dates with generated events).
- Prioritize critical tasks.
- Open the events and read the reason.
- Watch the full video.
- Compare the video with the receipt.
- Assign the employee.
- Add comments when necessary, objectively describing what was observed.
- Confirm or adjust the event severity.
- When the initial severity defined by Visio is changed, use the justification screen to record the reason for the change.
- Complete the task.
After reviewing all events for a specific day, using the calendar on the review screen makes it easier to navigate between dates, avoiding the need to return to the previous page to select a new day.
What this task is NOT
- It is not an investigation.
- It is not a judgment of intent.
- It is not a disciplinary action.
It is only the validation of observable behaviors.
